Bounce House Safety: What Every Parent Needs to Know
Bounce houses are one of the most popular party attractions in New Jersey, and for good reason — kids absolutely love them. But safety should always come first. Here are the essential practices every parent should follow when renting a bounce house for their next event.
1. Always Have Adult Supervision
An adult should be watching the bounce house at all times. At Magic Mack Productions, every rental comes with a safety briefing, and we offer optional attendant services for hands-off hosting.
2. Follow Age and Size Guidelines
Never mix age groups. Toddlers should use our dedicated soft play sets, while older kids can enjoy standard bounce houses. Most units have a maximum capacity of 6–8 children at a time.
3. Remove Shoes, Glasses, and Sharp Objects
Before entering any inflatable, children should remove shoes, eyeglasses, jewelry, and anything with sharp edges. This protects both the kids and the equipment.
4. Check Weather Conditions
Bounce houses should never be used in winds exceeding 15 mph, during rain, or in lightning conditions. If weather turns during your event, we'll help you safely deflate and secure the unit.
5. Proper Anchoring Is Critical
Every bounce house must be properly anchored — stakes on grass, sandbags on concrete. Our professional setup team handles this with every delivery to ensure maximum stability.
6. No Food or Drinks Inside
Keep snacks at a separate station. Our snack machine rentals create a perfect dedicated eating area away from the inflatables.
Why Rent from a Licensed, Insured Company
Always rent from a company that carries liability insurance and performs regular safety inspections. Magic Mack Productions is fully licensed and insured, serving Ocean County and Monmouth County with professionally maintained equipment.
